Similar to A-data, Corsair and all other Sandforce 2200 series SSDs that are affected by firmware issues ranging from BSODs and BIOS detection errors to random freezes and RAID failures OCZ released a new firmware release for its high-performance Vertex 3 and Agility 3 drives.
“OCZ has been working closely with SandForce and they have provided us with a new firmware drop (2.08) that addresses a number of the outstanding issues.
“We are recommending that all customers update to this latest firmware. We encourage any customers that are experiencing any issues to please come directly to us, and if you have any issues updating also come to us and we will be happy to support you,” reads the company's official statement.
Alongside the revised 2.08 firmware, OCZ has also introduced a new version of the Toolbox application that is used for flashing the FW. This can be downloaded from the OCZ forums (link here), where users will also find detailed instructions regarding the update procedure.
