After Intel promised to release it in Q4 2011, the latest news came to delay anticipated Sandy Bridge-E to year 2012!
The anticipated processors which are an evolvement to the current Sandy Bridge were expected to be released in December of this year despite of seeing good number of the motherboard supporting them in the last CES exhibit.
There is no doubt that Sandy Bridge-E will carry many new features which appear for the first time such as The chips pack massive quad-channel DDR3 integrated memory controllers and PCI-Express 3.0 hubs that can drive up to four graphics cards. The processor is made of a new 2011-pin LGA package, with the new Intel X79 chipset handling the rest of the platform.
The delaying reason is not declared yet perhaps it is just a commercially reason, but nothing is confirmed till this moment.
